Hurricane Ian
After Hurricane Ian in September 2022, the Village of Estero said the communities west of US 41 were hit hardest, in particular those along West Broadway, and named Estero River Heights among them. Ask every seller for the home's storm history, repairs, permits and insurance claims.
How to check one address
Look the address up on the FEMA Flood Map Service Center or the Lee County parcel flood viewer, ask for the elevation certificate, and get a flood and wind insurance quote before the inspection period ends. The Village of Estero takes part in FEMA's Community Rating System, which lowers flood insurance premiums for policies in the Village.
