Why Sanctuary

Sanctuary sits inside Pelican Landing, the roughly 2,365-acre gated community that WCI Communities began developing in 1989 west of US 41 on Estero Bay. It is the one Phase I neighborhood WCI did not build itself: its roughly 52 homes were built by Toll Brothers in the late 1990s and early 2000s, giving the streets a distinctive Mediterranean character.
Homes here generally run from about 2,700 to 3,500 square feet, most with private pools and screened lanais. Sanctuary stands out among Pelican Landing's neighborhoods for its single-builder Toll Brothers pedigree and its cohesive Mediterranean architecture.

Pelican Landing residents share a 34-acre private beach park on Big Hickory Island, reached by a 12-minute community shuttle boat across Estero Bay, plus a 12-court Har-Tru tennis center, a sailing center, kayaking and canoeing on Spring Creek, and a 14,900-square-foot community center with a fitness studio and resort-style pool. The Nest golf club, with two Tom Fazio championship courses, is a separate, optional membership.
