Why Lakemont

Lakemont sits inside Pelican Landing, the roughly 2,365-acre gated community that WCI Communities began developing in 1989 west of US 41 on Estero Bay. With about 165 homes built between 1990 and 1995, it is the largest single-family neighborhood in the mainland community, set on quiet streets close to the main gate.

Homes here average roughly 2,700 square feet in classic Florida and Mediterranean styles, most with private pools and screened lanais. Keep Lakemont distinct from Lakemont Cove, a separate low-rise condominium enclave nearby; the two share part of a name but are very different in product and price.

Near the Main Gate

Lakemont's location near Pelican Landing's main entrance puts residents minutes from the community marina, the tennis center, and the community center. Sidewalks and paths connect the neighborhood to the wider community and its lakes and preserves.

Community Amenities

Pelican Landing residents share a 34-acre private beach park on Big Hickory Island, reached by a 12-minute community shuttle boat across Estero Bay, plus a 12-court Har-Tru tennis center, a sailing center, kayaking and canoeing on Spring Creek, and a 14,900-square-foot community center with a fitness studio and resort-style pool. The Nest golf club, with two Tom Fazio championship courses, is a separate, optional membership.
