Why Pennyroyal

Pennyroyal sits inside Pelican Landing, the roughly 2,365-acre gated community that WCI Communities began developing in 1989 west of US 41 on Estero Bay. Its roughly 43 single-family homes were built in the late 1990s on some of the more generous, estate-size lots in mainland Pelican Landing.

Homes here generally run from about 2,200 to 3,800 square feet, most with private pools and screened lanais, in Florida and Mediterranean styles. Pennyroyal is a smaller, quieter enclave for buyers who want more room and larger lots inside a gated, amenity-rich community.

Pelican Landing residents share a 34-acre private beach park on Big Hickory Island, reached by a 12-minute community shuttle boat across Estero Bay, plus a 12-court Har-Tru tennis center, a sailing center, kayaking and canoeing on Spring Creek, and a 14,900-square-foot community center with a fitness studio and resort-style pool. The Nest golf club, with two Tom Fazio championship courses, is a separate, optional membership.
