Heron Cove sits inside Pelican Landing, the roughly 2,365-acre gated community that WCI Communities began developing in 1989 west of US 41 on Estero Bay. Its approximately 22 detached villas were built in the mid-1990s, giving owners a freestanding home with the ease of villa living.

Homes here generally run from about 1,700 to 2,200 square feet, most with private pools and screened lanais. Heron Cove is a distinct neighborhood from Heron Glen and the estate homes of Heron Point, so buyers should be sure they are comparing the right enclave inside Pelican Landing.
