Why Heron Glen

Heron Glen sits inside Pelican Landing, the roughly 2,365-acre gated community that WCI Communities began developing in 1989 west of US 41 on Estero Bay. Its approximately 15 detached villas were built around 1996, one of the smallest and most private villa enclaves in the community.
Homes here generally run from about 1,500 to 2,200 square feet, and many feature private courtyard pools set within the home's footprint. Heron Glen is a separate neighborhood from Heron Cove and the estate homes of Heron Point, so buyers should confirm which enclave a listing belongs to inside Pelican Landing.

Pelican Landing residents share a 34-acre private beach park on Big Hickory Island, reached by a 12-minute community shuttle boat across Estero Bay, plus a 12-court Har-Tru tennis center, a sailing center, kayaking and canoeing on Spring Creek, and a 14,900-square-foot community center with a fitness studio and resort-style pool. The Nest golf club, with two Tom Fazio championship courses, is a separate, optional membership.
